Mites d’un passat present s’endinsa en la mitologia grega i els diferents mites que la composen. Partint d’una selecció de set mites, entre els quals es troben la història de Dèdal i Ícar i la de Narcís i Eco, hem portat a terme una investigació per tal de saber si la mitologia clàssica reflecteix les mateixes inquietuds que preocupen la nostra societat actual. Seguidament, la nostra tasca s’ha centrat en la recerca de diverses obres d’art, pel·lícules, composicions musicals i peces literàries, realitzades al llarg de la història, inspirades en els set mites escollits. A partir de la posterior anàlisi del sentit d’aquestes obres, hem pogut redactar les nostres pròpies recreacions adaptant-les a la societat contemporània. A través dels nostres textos, hem reflectit els problemes que ens envolten en la nostra quotidianitat i hem donat un lloc a diferents realitats que són sovint silenciades, com la transsexualitat i els abusos sexuals. Finalment, hem arribat a la conclusió que efectivament els mites del món clàssic són un mirall del món present, ja que la natura humana ens empeny a actuar de manera versemblant respecte a les antigues civilitzacions.

Myths of a present past dives into Greek mythology and the different tales which compose it. On the basis of a selection of seven myths, among which are the story of Daedalus and Icarus and the fiction of Echo and Narcissus, we have carried out a research in order to find out if classical mythology reflects the same concerns that worry our current society. Straightaway, our task was focused on the study of a variety of artworks, films, musical compositions and literary pieces, made throughout history, which are inspired by the seven chosen myths. Based on the subsequent analysis of the meaning of these artistic pieces, we have been able to write our own recreations, tailoring them to contemporary society. By the use of these texts, we have reflected the problems that surround us in our everyday lives and we have shown different realities that are frequently silenced, such as transsexuality ors sexual abuses. Lastly, we have reached the conclusion that the myths of the classical world are a mirror of the present-day world, since human nature pushes us to act similarly to the ancient civilizations.
